This individual will bring extensive expertise in electrical estimating combined with proven capabilities and experience
Ideal Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate will possess a strong blend of technical electrical knowledge, organizational skills and expert knowledge of calculating material and labor costs. They must be highly proficient and possess high level of technical estimating skills, including use of estimating software and ability to enhance client satisfaction while delivering optimal business outcomes. This position reports directly to the Senior Electrical Estimator.Compensation:

The ability to work proficiently and autonomously on assigned projects, and working with other team members, while reporting directly back to the Snr. Electrical Estimator. Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Work with customer/Owner to identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Proficient knowledge in ConEst or other type electronic pricing software(s) to compute costs for labor, material, and time requirements. Proficient knowledge in Bluebeam for quantifying electronic project documents. Evaluating labor and material costs to determine whether it is more feasible to construct electrical components or sub-contract the construction of components. Determining the amount, type, and cost of major commodity materials (gear, lighting, special systems, & further type deliverables) needed for each electrical project. Determining the potential profitability of electrical projects to assist management in making sound bidding decisions. Providing viable solutions to increase project profitability. Completing and submitting competitive project bids in accordance with established guidelines. Regularly updating cost databases to accurately reflect fluctuating material and labor costs.Key Responsibilities:
Prepares cost estimates from design conception to basic design as requested for project purposes Examines and reviews unusual cost records and ensures costs data is allocated correctly within the construction environment Updates organizational cost standards on a regular basis for new projects Tracks market prices for construction costs, equipment, material and labor Skills /Experience:
Understands NEC, NFPA, UL and ISA, guidelines related to design and documentation Area classification requirements as related to design and documentation Wiring techniques, color-coding, sizing and de-rating, and insulation classifications Able to read and interpret blueprints, one-line diagrams, schematics, P&IDs, layout drawings and wiring diagrams and modify them for optimization Proficient in computer software including MS Office and ConEst estimating software (or further type estimating software)Requirements:
5+ years of electrical estimating experience Hands-on electrical construction experience a plus Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or Equivalent, Construction Management, preferred but not required The ability to interpret all blueprints drawings (not just electrical) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational skills Effective communication skills Exceptional customer service skills Detail-orientedBenefits
