Job Description

Music Director for
Christian Church Position Description :
The Music Director is responsible for selecting music and leading the choir during regularly scheduled worship and practice sessions.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
The choir is seasonal. It starts the 1st week of September and runs through the 1st week of June the following year. The choir is not scheduled for July and August.
  • Select appropriate choral music, anthems, and prayer hymns as requested by the Pastor and choir
  • Purchase music within budget.
  • Schedule and conduct Wednesday evening choir practice. - Support scheduling special music when choir is not scheduled.
  • Ideally, the Director will also direct a Handbell Choir.
The ideal candidate will be able to manage their own time, lead, and collaborate with others.
Pay:
From $6,000.00 per year
