Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and inspiring Choir Director to lead our church's musical worship and foster a vibrant, spiritually enriching choir community. In this role, you will oversee the development and execution of musical programs that elevate our worship services, promote spiritual growth, and strengthen community bonds. Duties Lead and coordinate church choir rehearsals, ensuring vocal and musical excellence in preparation for monthly service and special events Select appropriate music that aligns with liturgical themes, fostering spiritual engagement through praise and worship music conducting Conduct the choir during church service once per month ensuring seamless musical performance that complements the flow of worship Manage and mentor choir members, mentoring, and encouragement to develop their musical skills and confidence Collaborate with church leadership to plan musical segments for services, including choosing hymns, praise songs, and other liturgical music Coordinate with other music teams or instrumentalists to ensure cohesive musical arrangements for church events Skills Proven experience in church choir conducting and church service musical performance Strong knowledge of musical liturgical practices, praise and worship music conducting, and reading sheet music Ability to lead with enthusiasm, communicate effectively with diverse groups, and inspire team members through leadership skills Familiarity with playing piano used in church settings Experience in managing music teams, selecting appropriate music for various services, and mentoring choir members of all skill levels Knowledge of religious leadership principles combined with excellent organizational skills to coordinate rehearsals and performances effectively Join us as a Choir Director to make a meaningful impact through music!
