with our neighbors 3. SUPPORT and EQUIP each other Deliverables/Responsibilities- Participates in the planning and preparation of liturgical services in conjunction with the Worship Director
- Holds weekly rehearsals and directs St. Michael's choir
- Prepares and obtains music relevant to the choir's performance
- Assists in maintaining music library
- Develops and builds relationships with a strong volunteer base of musicians
- Check in regularly with Worship Director to solidify a clear vision for choir's participation in the worship environment
- Maintains own professional competence through regular practice
- Manages given budget
- Provide an environment that lifts up volunteers and allows them to develop a deeper connection in Christ
- Perform other duties as mutually agreed upon with Worship Director Contractor Qualifications/Education/Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Music preferred
- Proficiency in organ or piano preferred
- Experience in management of musicians, especially volunteers
- Knowledge and appreciation of liturgical arts and practices both contemporary and traditional
- Proficiency in directing and supporting congregational music
- Ability to manage, organize, and communicate worship service details effectively
Desired Agreement Terms:
- Meetings, rehearsals, and performances conducted at: St.
MN 55437
- Stipended contractor to provide services from September through April Preparation/Meetings to determine selections and schedules Weekly choir rehearsals as needed prior to performances Musically leading worship services on days noted by the Worship Director (typically once a month)
- Stipend paid per month Anticipated pay during the season: $750.00 a month
