Job Description

Job Summary:
The Music Department invites applications from Delaware Valley University students for the ensemble manager position. The ensemble manager assists the director(s) of the chorus, jazz band, and symphonic band in rehearsal and performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sending weekly emails to ensemble members about rehearsals, concerts, and other ensemble events Communicate any ensemble member absences and conflicts with the ensemble director(s) Create paper and/or virtual programs for concerts Assist ensemble directors in the scanning, copying, and distribution of music Take attendance at the start of ensemble rehearsals Other duties as assigned Education Employment eligibility: Currently enrolled Delaware Valley University student Must be authorized to work in the United States and provide required documentation to verify identity and employment eligibility
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Microsoft Apps such as Word, Excel, and Forms Familiar with formatting names of songs, musical pieces, composers, arrangers, and personnel Member of either the
Chorus, Jazz Band, or Symphonic Band Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Occasionally lifting 25 lbs or less Typically standing or walking Typically bending, crouching, stooping Exposure to moving stage equipment High noise environment Must hold valid driver s license Will need to work a couple of weekends during the fall and spring semesters May be required to be on-call during concert week
