DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
: Provides specialized leadership and administrative oversight for assigned areas of the University Band Program Essential Duties Summary Serves as Senior Associate Director of Bands - Operations. Serves as Chief Arranger for the University Band Program. Chairs the Music Committee. Supervises arranging personnel and music production activities. Coordinates music selection, preparation, distribution and implementation. Coordinates rehearsal schedules and rehearsal execution. Coordinates sectional planning and instructional implementation. Coordinates scholarship administration and tracking. Assists with scholarship budget management. Coordinates recruitment execution and audition logistics. Coordinates band inventory control and instrument accountability. Coordinates music library operations. Coordinates game-day music preparation. Coordinates pep band music operations. Coordinates performance logistics and operational readiness. Assists with concert ensemble preparation. Assists with band camp planning and implementation. Provides operational reports and recommendations. Assists with supervision of assigned staff and student leaders. Conducts ensembles and serves as performance implementation leader. Serves as Acting Director of Bands in the absence of the Director. Performs other job-related duties as assigned % FTE 1.0 Hiring Range $80,870.19-$103,109.49

Ability to maintain the security or integrity of critical infrastructure, which may include communications systems, computer networks and systems, cybersecurity systems, electrical grid, hazardous waste treatment or water treatment system.
Work Experience Required:
Three (3) years of experience in collegiate band administration, music operations, arranging, rehearsal leadership, or related field. Working/Environmental Conditions Prolong standing and/or walking. Moderate risk of accident. Handling moderate weight objects. Using or carrying equipment. Stoop, bend, or lift.
