We are dedicated to helping create musicians by supporting students, families, and school music programs throughout our communities. We are currently seeking a motivated and outgoing School Band Representative to serve the Green Bay area. This position plays a critical role in maintaining and growing our relationships with local band and orchestra programs. The representative will work directly with school band directors and students to support instrument rentals, repairs, and supplies while representing Jim's Music as a trusted partner for school music programs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, building relationships, and supporting music education in their community. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain strong relationships with local band and orchestra directors Regularly visit assigned schools to support band programs and maintain a visible presence Deliver rental instruments and supplies to students and schools Pick up instruments that require cleaning, maintenance, or repair Accurately diagnose common band and orchestra instrument issues and submit repair work orders Assist band directors and students with instrument accessories and supply needs Identify opportunities to grow instrument rentals and sales within assigned schools Communicate student and director needs back to store staff and management Maintain organized records of deliveries, repairs, and school visits both on paper and in our computer system Represent Jim's Music professionally when working in schools and interacting with educators, students, and parents Coordinate with store staff to ensure timely delivery and service for school programs Qualifications Self-motivated and able to work independently while managing a weekly school visit schedule Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills Knowledge of band and orchestra instruments and basic maintenance needs Comfortable communicating with educators, students, and parents Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills Basic computer skills for entering work orders and maintaining records Ability to lift and transport instruments and equipment when needed Preferred Experience Background in school band or orchestra programs Retail or sales experience Experience working in music education or a music retail environment Familiarity with band and orchestra instrument repairs or maintenance Requirements Valid driver's license and clean driving record Comfortable driving to multiple schools throughout the week Ability to pass driving background screening Schedule Monday to Friday Daytime hours aligned with school schedules
