Provides piano and instrumental accompaniment for rehearsals, performances, and presentations; plays vocal parts during rehearsals; sight-reads and transposes music as needed to accommodate individual student vocal ranges. May provide individual instruction and assistance to students under the direction of the Music/Choir Teacher.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must meet academic requirement by any of the following:
  • Pass a District administered proficiency test in Reading, Writing and mathematics; OR
  • Completion of at least two years of study at a college or university, including courses in music theory, music education or related field.
  • Earn an Associate's degree or Complete 48 semester hours of college level coursework with a "C" grade or higher.
Demonstrated proficiency in music, including piano accompaniment and the ability to play various instruments. Successful candidates should demonstrate patience, dependability, good judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to work cooperatively with students and staff. Letter(s) of Recommendation Copy of Transcript OR NCLB Compliance Resume Requirements / Qualifications
