Job Description :

Piedmont High School's Musical Theatre Department is seeking a skilled student pianist or collaborative keyboardist to serve as a rehearsal accompanist for our upcoming winter production of Meredith Willson's The Music Man . This is an excellent paid opportunity for advanced piano students looking to gain collaborative musical theater experience, work with talented youth performers, and build their local music network.

Responsibilities :

• Accompany vocal, ensemble, and choreography rehearsals from the musical theater piano/vocal score.
• Follow the cues and directions of the Music Director and Director/Choreographer.
• Maintain a flexible rehearsal schedule distributed in advance.

Qualifications :

• Strong sight-reading and rhythmic precision.
• Familiarity with musical theater styles or orchestral score reductions is highly preferred.
• No specific degree required for this position
• Reliability, punctuality, and a collaborative spirit.
• Ability to commute to Piedmont, CA.
