Anona United Methodist Church, located in Largo, Florida, is an inclusive church with both a pioneering and innovative spirit in our 150+ year history. Anona is seeking a dynamic individual to provide inspirational organ and piano music, and accompaniment support for the Wednesday Choir, our traditional ensembles, soloists, and a seasonal orchestra, for our Traditional Worship services. Position Details Part-time, hourly, non-exempt Hours Approximately 20-24 hours per week.

Associate Pastor Start date: Open Duties / Tasks Support and uplift our two Traditional Sunday worship services through inspirational and well-prepared organ and piano music including preludes, postludes, hymns and other special music as needed. Provide accompaniment support for the weekly Wednesday night Choir rehearsal. Provide accompaniment support for a weekly Traditional ensemble rehearsal. Accompany soloists in worship, including rehearsal and preparation time. Serve as keyboard accompanist for our seasonal orchestra, which prepares and plays for Advent, Christmas Eve, Holy Week, Easter, and other Sundays as scheduled. Provide accompaniment support for additional Traditional worship groups and ensembles as needed. Prepare music for weddings, funerals, and other special events and services. Skills & Abilities Strong organ and piano skills, including sight-reading ability. Experience in supporting traditional worship services through organ and piano music with excellence. Collaborative accompanying skill with choirs, instrumental ensembles, and soloists. Ability to read and play from orchestral reductions and to follow a conductor. A teachable spirit and willingness to learn Anona's culture and values. Professional Background A degree in Music preferred. Demonstrated musical abilities in organ and piano accompaniment. Experience accompanying vocal and instrumental ensembles in a worship setting.
