Christ Episcopal Church is a small Christian congregation. We place high value on the liturgical traditions of the Episcopal Church as well as our own history and traditions but are open to new ideas. Although our members are diverse in many ways, we love and minister to one another and are welcoming to all. Our Vestry is collegial and dedicated to seeking God's will in guiding Christ Church. Our lay members regularly take part in our services and outreach ministries in the community. We seek a rector who will: Grow our faith, challenge us through preaching and teaching and lead us to a better understanding of God's will for us both as individuals and as a congregation Offer pastoral care to our members and minister to the sick, elderly and those in need Be accessible to our children and teens Take part in all church activities, including outreach ministries Help us to incorporate stewardship into all facets of our church and our lives Be an active member of our community Additionally, the ideal candidate will: Understand the joys and challenges of living and working in a small town and agree to reside in the Monticello area Have an appreciation for music and the significant role it plays in our worship services; and participate in choir or other musical offerings by our musicians Have a good sense of humor Email Karen Byer
