The role The Eglin Air Force Base Chaplain Corps is seeking a skilled and dependable Catholic Mass Musician to support its Catholic community. Provide musical accompaniment for weekly rehearsals, Holy Days, special services, and Sunday Masses at 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. You will also work with the Catholic Priest and Choir Director to select and prepare suitable music. Key Responsibilities Provide piano and/or organ accompaniment during Catholic Mass. Attend and perform at weekly choir rehearsals. Arrive 30 minutes before services for setup and warm-up. Coordinate hymns, special music, and service requirements with the Choir Director. Learn new hymns and songs when required. Perform at Holy Days, liturgies, and other special services. Set up and store instruments, music stands, microphones, and cords. Leave the chapel and rehearsal areas clean, organized, and secure. Submit equipment, facility, and support requests to the Catholic Priest. Arrange an approved, equally qualified substitute when unable to attend. The Catholic Mass Musician will generally complete one rehearsal and two Masses each Sunday, totaling approximately 2.5 hours of Sunday performance time.
