Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a talented and passionate Pianist/Organist to collaborate with our musician's to lead our congregation in worship each week. We sing a variety of quality choral literature including music by Craig Courtney, John Rutter, Elaine Hagenberg, Dan Forrest as well as a host of others. We hope you will consider joining us as we strive to enrich the worship life of our congregation through meaningful musical offerings. Responsibilities Music Associate Position Piano/Organ
- Candidates will be expected to prepare and play for traditional services including accompaniment of choir, ensembles, soloists and all congregational hymns and service music.
- Services include weekly 11:00 worship service and occasional 8:30 services as needed. Other services would include Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and All Saints.
- Regularly scheduled rehearsals are Wednesdays at 7:00 and Sunday evenings. There are less frequent rehearsals on Wednesdays at 6:00, generally for instrumental ensembles.
- Candidates will be expected to play appropriate repertoire prior to the service as well as prelude, offertory, postlude or for communion as needed.
- Candidates should be punctual, organized and prepared for all rehearsals and services.
- The ability to sight read parts and prepare accompaniments quickly is crucial as the choir will sing 70+ anthems every year.
- Weddings and funerals will be scheduled and compensated for separately from the position's salary.
Pay:
$25,000.00- $35,000.
