Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Minister of Music to lead and inspire our congregation through the power of music. This vital role involves curating uplifting musical experiences, coordinating with worship teams, and fostering a vibrant musical environment that enhances spiritual growth. The Minister of Music will serve as a creative leader, bringing energy and enthusiasm to every service, event, and rehearsal. If you have a love for sacred music, strong leadership skills, and a desire to make a meaningful impact through song, this opportunity is for you! Responsibilities Plan and coordinate musical elements for weekly worship services, special events, and community outreach programs. Lead rehearsals with choir members, band musicians, and other vocalists to ensure cohesive and spirited performances. Select appropriate repertoire that aligns with the church's mission and enhances the worship experience. Collaborate with pastors and ministry leaders to integrate music seamlessly into the overall service flow. Recruit, train, and mentor volunteers involved in the music ministry to foster growth and engagement. Manage all musical equipment, including instruments, sound systems, and related technology, ensuring optimal performance. Promote a welcoming environment that encourages participation from congregation members of all ages and backgrounds. Skills Proven experience leading church or community music programs with a track record of energetic performances. Strong proficiency in playing keyboard or piano; additional instrumental skills are a plus. Excellent vocal abilities with the capacity to arrange music for diverse ensembles. Ability to read sheet music fluently and adapt arrangements as needed. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate volunteers and foster teamwork. Knowledge of sound equipment operation and basic audio mixing techniques. Passion for spiritual worship through music combined with a positive, energetic attitude. Pay:
$25,000.00 - $29,000.00 per year
