HS Vocal Accompanist

SPECIFICATIONS
Required:
1. Experience accompanying a vocal ensemble. 2. Ability to sight read vocal scores effectively.
Desired:
1. Degree in music, with an emphasis in vocal or piano performance.
BASIC FUNCTION
Conduct and administer performances and rehearsals of a high school jazz band.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Play piano for vocal department as needed in rehearsals and concerts. 2. Prepare music in a variety of styles and genres. 3. Maintain sensitivity to the ensemble needs. 4. Notify the director when the piano needs tuning and maintenance.
ADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
(for every DMPS position): 1. Attend work on a prompt and regular basis. 2. Maintain confidentiality. 3. Maintain satisfactory and harmonious working relationships with the public, students, and other employees. 4. Assist with other duties as may be assigned
