Church Guitarist Norwalk United Methodist is seeking a capable guitarist who can bring their skills to our Sunday morning worship service. Our preferred applicant will be proficient on their instrument, attentive to the musical details, and punctual to Sunday morning rehearsals. The guitarist will join the church's musicians in delivering a blended style of worship that involves hymns and other more contemporary songs. The right person will be committed to the Christian faith and committed to fostering a meaningful and beautiful worship experience for the congregation. Our Sunday service begins at 9:00 AM and the typical service does not extend beyond one hour. Pre-service rehearsal with the music director and other musicians begins at 8:15 AM. Applicants who feel comfortable singing/leading worship while playing guitar could also be potentially utilized as a substitute worship leader (if desired by the applicant). Interested applicants should send their resume to norwalkumc@norwalkumc.org. Compensation is $150 per service.
