Organist/Accompanist

Job Description

Job Summary As primary organist and pianist, provides worship leadership through the ministry of music. Facilitates the music ministry of others through regular accompaniment of FCC music groups and other special events. With Senior Pastor and Director of Music, envisions, plans and implements music for worship and other special events. This is a part time position estimated at about 8-10 hours per week. Essential Functions :

▪ Provides musical worship leadership for FCC services primarily through organ and piano music.

▪ Provides accompaniment for FCC music groups (bell choirs, vocal choirs, soloists, special musicians, etc.)

▪ Assists Director of Music in the visioning, planning, and facilitating of worship

▪ Participates in special music events of the church as well as inter-church events

▪ Primary music resource for weddings and funerals (additionally compensated)

▪ Supports and maintains a safe, energetic and welcoming environment for emotional, spiritual and intellectual growth

Other Responsibilities:

▪ Participates in regular meetings with Music Ministry and other staff

Director of Music or Senior Minister Minimum Qualifications:

▪ Bachelor's degree or similar (emphasis on organ and/or piano preferred)

Physical Requirements:

▪ Able to perform essential functions

Pay:

$15,000.00 - $17,000.00 per year
