Elementary Choral Piano Accompanist Newton Public Schools - 4.0 Newton, MA Job Details Part-time $31 an hour 11 hours ago Qualifications Chairside assisting Piano Mid-level Working with students Experience working with elementary school students Full Job Description Newton Public Schools is seeking a skilled and collaborative pianist to accompany Grade 4 and Grade 5 all-grade chorus classes at an elementary school in Newton. The accompanist will work two hours per week, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Wednesdays , supporting students and the choral teacher through rehearsals and instruction by providing piano accompaniment for vocal warm-ups, repertoire, and other choral activities. There will also be opportunities for additional paid hours for chorus practices and concerts throughout the school year. The ideal candidate will have strong piano skills, experience accompanying vocal or choral ensembles, and an ability to work positively and professionally with elementary-aged students.
