Overview We are seeking talented and experienced musicians for a paid performance on October 3. This opportunity is ideal for professional musicians who excel in their instruments and have a passion for jazz and contemporary music influenced by artists such as Grover Washington Jr., Weather Report, and other jazz fusion styles. The role involves collaborating with a dynamic ensemble to deliver engaging live performances in a vibrant setting. Candidates should be proficient in their instruments, comfortable reading sheet music, and capable of contributing to a cohesive musical experience. Responsibilities Perform as part of a live ensemble, showcasing skills on instruments including keys, trumpet, guitar, bass, and other relevant instruments. Read and interpret sheet music accurately to ensure precise execution of arrangements. Play concert music with professionalism, energy, and musicality during rehearsals and the live gig. Collaborate closely with fellow musicians to create a seamless and engaging performance. Prepare material ahead of the performance date, including practicing pieces influenced by jazz legends and fusion artists. Adapt to the musical direction and improvisational cues during live performances to maintain high-quality entertainment. Experience Proven experience performing in concert settings, with a strong background in jazz or fusion genres. Proficiency in piano is required, with the ability to read sheet music confidently. Guitar playing experience is essential for contributing to the ensemble's sound. Experience performing concert music in professional environments is highly desirable. Musicians should demonstrate versatility and the ability to adapt to different styles influenced by prominent artists such as Grover Washington Jr., Weather Report, and others.
