Before and Aftercare (Fun Zone) Staff Member The Summit Preparatory School - 3.0 Springfield, MO Job Details Part-time From $15 an hour 3 hours ago Qualifications School experience Student supervision Teamwork High school diploma or GED Working with students Full Job Description The Summit Preparatory School of Southwest Missouri is seeking a professional in the following area: Before and Aftercare (Fun Zone) Staff Member The Summit, located in Springfield, MO, is a fully accredited, independent, non-profit, co-educational day school meeting the learning needs of students in Early Learners through High School. The Summit is characterized by its progressive, student-centered philosophy, academically challenging curriculum, personalized, "deeper learning" approach, motivated students, small class sizes, and talented, dedicated faculty. The Fun Zone staff members lead The Summit's before and aftercare program, providing a safe, productive, and fun environment for students ages 3 and up. This part-time position is Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. Pay is $15 per hour.
Candidate Profile and Job Responsibilities:
- Enjoys working with students ages 3 and up and their families
- Plans daily activities for a multi-age environment
- Manages appropriate behavior upholding student code of conduct
- Supervises student use of technology
- Possesses excellent communication skills
- Expresses enthusiasm and creativity
- Ensure safe checkout of students
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills
- Assist in opening/closing and securing the building when needed
- Bring friendliness and enthusiasm to daily interactions
- Enjoys collegial collaboration
Qualifications/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalency (preferred)
