Job Description
Calhoun Baptist Church is seeking a part time Worship Leader who worships God authentically and is called to teach and lead a congregation into genuine worship. We are located between Taylorsville and Collins in the community of Hot Coffee. Key Responsibilities Lead congregational singing for Sunday morning worship Teach the congregation, by word and example, what it means to worship God Lead worship personally (vocally and/or on an instrument such as piano or guitar) Coordinate special music for holidays and special services (Easter, Christmas, homecoming, etc.) Participate in other church functions — business meetings, fellowship dinners, visitation, and special events Qualifications A personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ marked by a genuine life of worship Agreement with the church's statement of faith Comfortable leading congregational singing solo or with minimal accompaniment Basic proficiency on piano, guitar, or another instrument helpful but not required Teachable spirit This is a part time position: Sunday morning required, plus occasional special services and church scheduled events.
