Job Description

Kennett High School is seeking a charismatic and student-centered individual to join our dedicated team as a Music Technician. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to work with our percussion section and contribute to the overall success of our marching band.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with the percussion section, providing specialized guidance and instruction.

Assist in teaching marching band fundamentals, with an emphasis on visual technique.

Be available for long Saturdays in September and October for competitions and performances.

Must attend Band Camp in August to help prepare students for the season.

Qualifications:
  • Degree in Music Education preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting marching band coordinate charts is required.
  • Prior experience as a marching visual technician is highly desired.
  • Bilingual candidates are preferred.

Interested applicants must have current clearances, Acts 34, 114, 151 and 168. Salary stipend is in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Kennett Consolidated School Board and the Kennett Education Association.
