Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a talented and energetic Piano and/or Organ Accompanist to bring vibrant musical support to our worship services on the first, third, and (when applicable) fifth Sundays of each month, 5-6 special evening services throughout the year (such as Christmas Eve, Holy Week, and Ash Wednesday), and choir practices on Thursday evenings. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to collaborate with the Music Director, Pastor, choir members, and soloists, enriching spiritual experiences through musical accompaniment. We are looking for a candidate who possesses a passion for music, and who can demonstrate versatility across various musical genres. This paid position invites motivated musicians eager to contribute their skills in a warm and open environment. Duties Provide compelling piano and/or organ accompaniment for worship services on the 1st, 3rd, and (when applicable) 5th Sundays of the month (approximately 2.5 hrs per Sunday). Provide accompaniment for choir rehearsals each Thursday from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. Provide accompaniment for five to six select special services throughout the year including Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, and Holy Week services. Collaborate closely with the Music Director to select appropriate music that enhances the worship service. Read sheet music fluently and adapt to revised arrangements during rehearsals. Play a variety of musical styles. Qualifications Experience in religious music performance is preferred but not required. A knowledge of hymn music is helpful. Proficiency in playing the piano and organ is required. Ability to read sheet music fluently is required. Pay:
$30.00 - $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 1.5 - 4.0 per week
