House Manager Description:
Overview:
The House Manager will be responsible for overseeing House Management for performances (as scheduled) at Greater Boston Stage Company. The overarching goal of the House Manager will be to ensure that patrons experience an exceptional customer service experience.
Schedule & Pay:
Part-Time, non-exempt; nights and weekends required. $20/hour.

Box Office Manager House Manager Duties & Responsibilities:
Act as initial point of contact for all patron questions, concerns, and safety matters before, during, and immediately after performances at Greater Boston Stage Company.
Complete and email House Manager reports for each performance.
Ensure that all customer-facing areas of the theatre are prepared for public events,municating with Box Office Manager regarding any supply needs (soap, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, cleaning supplies, etc.) or facilities concerns (malfunctioning equipment, toilet maintenance, etc.).
Ensure that all current public safety plans aremunicated to all Front of House staff and that established protocols are followed.
Ensure that all customer-facing areas of the theatre are thoroughly cleaned at the close of each event.
Be capable of stepping in to assist with box office and concessions if needed.
Communicate with Stage Managers (via headset) before and throughout the performance to coordinate house opening/start of show/intermission.
Communicate and coordinate duties with volunteer ushers.
Closing:
Reconcile End of Day reports on both Square and PatronManager ticketing system, count cash, etc.
Qualifications:
Effectivemunication and interpersonal skills, diplomatic, tactful, with a professional phone manner and ability to interact professionally with a wide variety of people.
Previous Box Office or House Management/Events experience required.
Proficientputer skills, including Microsoft Office. Ticketing system experience preferred.
Stronganizational and time management skills with proven ability toanize, prioritize and successfully manage multiple and shifting priorities, projects, and deadlines.
Self-starter with strong work ethic, self-motivated, resourceful, conscientious, punctual, and energetic.
First Aid and CPR Certifications preferred.
