Job Description

GENERAL FUNCTIONS
The Manager is a full-time, salaried, exempt employee responsible for the overall operation of the movie theater. This role includes proactively leading the theater team to achieve business goals related to revenue, expense management, profitability, guest satisfaction, inventory control, and employee morale. The Manager also serves as a representative of Kituwah, LLC and is expected to act in a manner consistent with the Company's mission statement, values, and policies. The theater operates 365 days per year; therefore, the Manager is responsible for ensuring the business is open and adequately staffed each day.
JOB SUMMARY
  • Controlling costs, including all direct operating expenses, purchasing and ordering concession and bar stock, and any other supplies needed for daily operations, as well as the inventory and auditing processes involved in tracking those supplies.
  • Maintain adequate supplies of menu items at all times to maintain food costs
  • Maintain all kitchen areas in a sanitary condition, and ensure all equipment is operational
  • Monitoring risk management as it pertains to the theatre, i.e., employee and guest safety, loss prevention, emergency situations, and the proper handling, reporting, and investigating of accidents.
  • Upholding and administering all Kituwah, LLC policies.
  • Supervising all day-to-day operations, as well as hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, developing, and disciplining employees in accordance with company policies.
  • Responsible for all scheduling of movies and employee schedules.
  • Responsible for guest relations, marketing, and promotions of feature film engagements, scheduling of movie show times, and the timely delivery of show times to all proper channels.
  • Responsible for ensuring that customer service is delivered with excellence and for appropriately handling guest concerns.
  • Responsible for ensuring the best movie picture and sound quality.
  • Responsible for the overall cleanliness, maintenance, inspection, and safety of the building.
  • Manage payroll with budgetary guidelines set forth by management.
  • Report on all operational incidents, i.e., lost shows, technical problems, employee and customer incidents on a nightly basis. Report resolution of incidents.
  • Operating POS system, including the proper handling of and responsibility for accuracy of cash drawer, credit cards, travelers' checks, gift cards, and redeemed coupons as well as concession stock inventory.
  • Enforcement of the MPAA rating system
  • Promoting the Reward program
  • Ensuring tickets are sold in accordance with Theater Guidelines
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Two years' college education in business and two years' supervisory experience are required
  • Preferred applicants will have experience managing a movie theater or in the hospitality field, knowledge of movie projection and sound equipment, and possess the following professional skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, excellent presentation skills.
  • Must be able to lead with confidence, yet be cooperative, perceptive, and situationally aware.
  • Ability to inspire, develop, and promote employees
  • Ability to effectively solve problems, prioritize conflicting demands, and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and make decisions based on business and financial data.
  • Responsible for all time keeping and accurate reporting of all time for all employees.

  • Intermediate computer proficiency, with the ability to use Microsoft Office and other programs
  • Available to work evening hours, weekends, and holidays. Requires regular and consistent attendance.
  • This position manages all employees and is responsible for the leadership of the employees within each area of the theater, and conducts regular staff training/meetings.
  • Self-starter; must work without close supervision with knowledge in all areas of customer service
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Candidates are subject to Section 95-67, Felonies and Misdemeanors of the Cherokee Code.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
  • Ability to move, carry, push, and pull heavy bulk food products and containers from remote or separate storage areas. Sometimes this must be done quickly in order to keep shelves stocked.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION
All candidates are required to complete a background investigation. Results will be evaluated in accordance with the requirements of the position and applicable tribal, federal, and state laws. Candidates must be able to pass all required background checks, including, where applicable, a Public Law 101-630 background check to ensure compliance with the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act .
Pay:
$40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
