Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Permits Coordinator / Project Assistant to join our dynamic team in residential new home construction. This vital role involves managing permit applications, coordinating project documentation, and supporting the construction team to ensure smooth project execution from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and possess a strong understanding of construction processes and project management tools. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality residential projects while gaining valuable experience in construction administration and project coordination. Responsibilities Manage and track all permit applications, approvals, and renewals required for residential new home construction projects. Coordinate with local authorities, regulatory agencies, and vendors to ensure timely permit acquisition and compliance. Support project teams by preparing and organizing essential documentation, including contracts, drawings, and schedules. Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth communication and project flow. Support the estimation process by providing data related to construction costs and assisting with bid preparations when needed. Contribute to overall project management efforts by supporting tasks related to construction estimating, contracts administration, and time management. Skills Strong understanding of construction estimating, project scheduling, and contract administration. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated experience in construction site coordination or construction site experience is highly desirable. Knowledge of permits procurement processes for residential projects across local jurisdictions. Effective communication skills for liaising with regulatory agencies, vendors, contractors, and internal teams. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Strong time management skills coupled with a proactive approach to problem-solving within the scope of project management. This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their career in residential construction while contributing meaningfully to high-quality homebuilding projects.
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
