Job Description

Overview Join our compassionate team as a Personal Assistant Caregiver, where your dedication and skills will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities and personal care. This vital role offers an opportunity to provide high-quality, respectful, and personalized care in various settings, including private homes, assisted living facilities, or community-based environments. If you are energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping others maintain independence and dignity, this position is perfect for you! Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and document patients' vital signs, health status, and behavioral changes to ensure optimal care Support medication administration following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for confidentiality Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs safely during transfers and mobility assistance Conduct patient observation to identify any health concerns or emergencies promptly and respond effectively Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and organizing living spaces Experience Prior experience working in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings preferred Demonstrated knowledge of patient care techniques including assisting with ADLs and medication management Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, dementia (including Alzheimer's) or memory care needs Familiarity with safety protocols such as CPR and first aid certification required; additional certifications like HIPAA compliance are a plus Hands-on experience with patient monitoring tools and vital signs measurement preferred Previous roles involving hospice care or working with individuals facing long-term or terminal illnesses highly valued Ability to lift heavy objects safely when assisting with transfers or mobility support Join us in delivering compassionate, respectful care that empowers individuals to live their lives fully.
