Job Summary Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Assistant, where your dedication and caring nature will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities and personal well-being. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care, promote independence, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for residents in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings. Your energy and attentiveness will help foster a positive atmosphere that encourages dignity and quality of life for those you serve. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor patient health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; observe and report changes in condition Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA confidentiality standards Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Maintain cleanliness of living spaces by performing light housekeeping tasks like cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts to safely assist with mobility and prevent injury Document patient observations accurately and update care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being, especially for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease Requirements Proven experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, home health, or community care environments Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Certifications in First Aid and CPR are required; additional training in Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice care, or autism support is highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and families Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions Embark on a rewarding career where your skills directly impact lives. Pay:
$13.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 - 40.0 per week
