Personal Care Assistant The Adult Caring Place LLC Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Personal Care Assistant and become a vital part of enhancing the quality of life for individuals in need of compassionate care. In this energetic role, you will provide personalized support to clients, helping them maintain independence, dignity, and comfort. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in the daily lives of those you serve. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while making a positive impact in a supportive environment. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' health by taking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary Administer medications following care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Support clients with memory care needs such as Alzheimer's or dementia, implementing specialized techniques and safety measures Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through regular cleaning and sanitation tasks Use equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's personal assistance devices to ensure safe transfers and mobility support Document patient progress, update care plans, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams and family members Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a caring environment that promotes well-being Skills Proven experience in assisted living, home health, or long-term care environments Knowledge of patient observation, monitoring vital signs, and administering medications accurately Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality at all times Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or Alzheimer's/dementia care needs Strong skills in cleaning, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe environment for residents or clients Excellent communication skills for working collaboratively with healthcare teams, residents, and families Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, or nursing assistant credentials are highly desirable Compassionate attitude combined with patience, adaptability, and a proactive approach to caregiving Join us to make a real difference—empowering individuals through dedicated care while building your career in a rewarding field.
