Personal Care Assistant

Whether working in assisted living facilities, home care settings, or group homes, you will be the trusted companion and caregiver that helps clients thrive. Responsibilities Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor patient health by checking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature regularly Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to promote healthy living Maintain a clean and safe environment through routine cleaning and sanitation of living spaces Observe and document patient conditions, behaviors, and progress to inform care strategies Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation or dementia-related confusion Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and family members to develop and implement personalized care plans Follow all safety protocols including CPR and First Aid procedures to respond effectively during emergencies Skills Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes with a focus on senior or disability care Strong knowledge of patient observation, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and dementia or Alzheimer's care Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to safeguard client privacy at all times Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for resident transfers or mobility assistance Excellent communication skills for working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder Experience using care equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids efficiently and safely Compassionate attitude combined with patience and active listening skills to provide empathetic support Join us in providing exceptional personal care that empowers individuals to live healthier, happier lives.
