Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various settings, including home, community, and long-term care facilities. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily activities, monitor health status, and promote independence while ensuring safety and comfort. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized memory or dementia care. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Provide patient observation and monitor vital signs in accordance with care plans Support medication administration and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation Operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts and assist with transfers safely Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through light cleaning duties Document patient progress and communicate effectively with healthcare teams Support clients during outings or community activities to promote social engagement Follow care plans meticulously, including Alzheimer's, dementia, autism, or hospice-specific protocols Assist with mobility and transfer techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary Recognize signs of medical emergencies and respond appropriately using CPR or first aid skills Skills Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments Knowledge of patient monitoring, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and HIPAA compliance Specialized experience in Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism Strong caregiving skills including assisting with ADLs and providing compassionate support Ability to perform light cleaning and meal preparation to ensure a safe living environment CPR and First Aid certification preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified Excellent observation skills for patient safety and well-being Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills to engage effectively with clients and their families Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when required and assist with resident transfers using appropriate techniques This role provides an enriching opportunity for individuals passionate about caregiving and dedicated to improving the quality of life for others.
