Personal Care Support Assistant

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Support Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly those with disabilities, dementia, or requiring long-term care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a home health environment. Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times.
• Monitor and record patient observations, including changes in condition or behavior.
• Help clients with meal preparation and feeding as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans effectively.
• Support individuals with developmental disabilities by promoting independence and skill development. Experience
• Previous experience in home care or long-term care settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with dementia care techniques is a plus.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of medication administration protocols is essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams are required.
• A background in nursing or related fields can be advantageous but is not mandatory.
