Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for a clinical pharmacist to support a healthcare facility in Snowmass Village, CO. This contract position offers an engaging role working 40 hours per week on a rotating schedule, including both day and evening shifts. The assignment is expected to last through August 15, 2026, with some flexibility to accommodate start dates.
Location:
Snowmass Village, CO Schedule:
Rotating shift starting at 6:30 AM or 8:00 AM, Monday through Friday Rotating weekends from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM Total 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and dispense medication orders accurately based on physician requests Maintain medication stock within patient care areas to ensure availability Monitor and evaluate medication therapies for safety, appropriateness, and cost-effectiveness Interpret and transcribe medication orders and maintain computerized medication profiles Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals including IV admixtures, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition Monitor drug regimens for contraindications, interactions, and allergies Perform pharmacokinetic dosing and review cultures and sensitivities for antibiotic therapy adjustments Detect and report adverse drug reactions promptly Provide clinical consultation to practitioners and educate patients and families as needed Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training programs Serve as a member of the
Code Response Team Qualifications:
Active Colorado Pharmacist License in good standing Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy degree Current BLS and ACLS certifications by the American Heart Association EPIC electronic medical record experience is a must; Meditech experience is a plus Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) during flu season (Oct 1 - Apr 1) This is a traveler assignment during the facility's transition from Meditech to Epic EMR systems, providing a dynamic work environment with valuable experience.
