Job Description
Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract This position involves providing comprehensive pharmacy services as an inpatient pharmacist in a hospital setting, supporting critical areas such as ICU, Labor & Delivery, Medical/Surgical, and Emergency Department units.
Key Responsibilities:
Dispense and manage medications accurately for inpatient care. Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize pharmacotherapy. Operate independently, particularly during weekend shifts. Utilize hospital systems including Meditech; experience with Omnicell is advantageous. Participate in rotating weekend schedules and manage workload efficiently.Qualifications:
2 to 5 years of experience as a pharmacist with prior hospital experience. Previous experience in a Critical Access Hospital environment is highly preferred. Ability to work independently and take ownership of weekend shifts. Familiarity with Meditech electronic medical records is preferred. Strong clinical knowledge and excellent communication skills.Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7:00/7:30 AM to 4:30/5:00 PM (40 hours/week). Rotating weekends every third weekend. Weekend shifts on Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.Location and Other Details:
Position based in a rural hospital setting. Candidates must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility. Housing may present challenges due to the rural location; coordination with your placement representative is advised prior to applying.
