Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity exists for a Pharmacist to support clinical services at a 120-bed community hospital in Kerrville, TX. This contract role offers a dynamic hospital pharmacy environment that demands both technical expertise and flexibility.
Location:
Kerrville, TX 120-bed community hospital
Schedule:
Monday to Friday day shifts Start times vary between 7 AM, 8 AM, or 9 AM Coverage required every 4th weekend Potential for switching to 2nd shift (11:45 AM - 10:15 PM, 10-hour shifts) Flexibility in scheduling is highly valued
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care throughout the hospital setting Accurately order, dispense, and distribute medications utilizing Meditech and MedKeeper (for IVs) Manage inventory with Omnicell automated dispensing systems Collaborate closely with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy and ensure patient safety Maintain compliance with hospital policies and industry regulations
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Current and active Texas Pharmacist license Prior experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting Familiarity with Meditech electronic health records, MedKeeper, and Omnicell systems preferred Strong communication skills and adaptability to changing schedules This position is ideal for licensed pharmacists seeking a hospital role with a reputable healthcare provider on a contract basis lasting approximately 13 weeks or longer.
