Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A hospital in Kerrville, TX is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to support their pharmacy team on a contract basis. This opportunity is ideal for a dedicated professional with experience in hospital pharmacy settings who is ready to contribute to high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy for patients Review prescriptions for appropriateness, interactions, and contraindications Provide drug information and counseling to patients and staff Maintain accurate records of dispensed medications and inventory control Participate in medication management programs and quality improvement initiatives within the hospital
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Valid Pharmacist license in the state of Texas Proven experience working as a pharmacist in a hospital or clinical setting Strong knowledge of medication therapy management, pharmacology, and related regulations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
