Job Description

Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Contract An interim Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) is needed for a specialized 10-bed micro-hospital and emergency department facility. This contract role provides a unique opportunity to lead pharmacy operations in a focused, small-scale setting, managing both inpatient and emergency care pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee pharmacy operations as the sole pharmacist on site, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulations Perform PIC duties including audits, inventory management, and medication restocking Utilize Cerner for order entry and Omnicell automation systems to support pharmacy workflow Provide on-call coverage with minimal expected call-ins during weekdays Collaborate remotely with local PIC and Pharmacy Director for training and guidance
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Pennsylvania pharmacist license is required Proven inpatient pharmacy experience essential for success in this role Ability to work independently without onsite technician support Familiarity with Cerner and Omnicell systems is highly beneficial
Schedule:
