Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract Two Staff Pharmacist positions are available at a hospital setting in Pickerington, OH, on a contract basis from late May through mid-August 2026. These roles focus on inpatient hospital pharmacy services where patient care and medication management are paramount.

Responsibilities:

Verify inpatient medication orders accurately and efficiently. Provide oversight of sterile, non-sterile, and hazardous compounding processes. Support nursing and provider staff by attending codes and assisting with medication management. Dispense medications and provide patient education as necessary. Collaborate with pharmacy technicians who prepare and deliver medications, ensuring smooth pharmacy operations.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Licensed Pharmacist in Ohio is required. Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience including expertise in Computerized Provider Order Entry (CPOE) verification. Strong knowledge of pharmacotherapy, antibiotic stewardship, and renal dosing. Familiarity with code situations and the ability to respond appropriately. Experience in oversight of sterile, non-sterile, and hazardous compounding. Excellent time management and prioritization skills to handle a fast-paced environment. Experience with Cerner Electronic Health Records is preferred; training is available. Comfortable with use of Pyxis Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADC).

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Coverage every 6th weekend This is a valuable opportunity to contribute within a 222-bed hospital with an average daily census of 120 patients.
