Pharmacy Intern - Part Time, Day/Evening Shift

Job description Marshfield Clinic - Archive is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Intern to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within Marshfield Clinic Health System - Marshfield Children's, a Wisconsin-based pediatric care provider within a large, integrated health system. As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of licensed pharmacists to support safe, accurate, and timely medication use for pediatric patients and their families across central and northern Wisconsin. You will assist with medication order entry, preparation, dispensing, and distribution, ensuring adherence to all state and federal regulations, health system policies, and best practices in pediatric pharmacy care. The role includes performing dosage calculations, compounding and labeling medications, preparing IV admixtures when trained, and helping maintain inventory, storage standards, and medication security. In this position, you will collaborate closely with pharmacists, nurses, physicians, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team to support a patient-first approach, answer basic medication-related questions within your scope, and escalate more complex issues appropriately. You will participate in clinical and operational learning experiences, including exposure to inpatient and outpatient pediatric pharmacy services, stewardship initiatives, and quality improvement projects focused on safety and outcomes. The Pharmacy Intern will be expected to document activities accurately in the electronic health record and pharmacy systems, assist with medication reconciliation processes, and support patient and family education under pharmacist guidance. The role is well-suited for a current pharmacy student who is motivated to build strong clinical and technical skills in pediatric pharmacy within a collaborative, compassionate environment.
