Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type All Job Types This opportunity is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations in a hospital environment. Candidates with an Indiana Pharmacy Technician license or the ability to obtain licensure are encouraged to apply. Hospital experience of at least two years is highly preferred to ensure familiarity with clinical protocols and medication management. Two shift options are available to fit different scheduling needs:
Nights:
7 days on, 7 days off (9:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
Days/Afternoons:
8-hour shifts totaling 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding of medications with precision and adherence to safety standards Restock Pyxis automated medication dispensing machines to maintain adequate inventory Field incoming calls to the pharmacy, providing excellent customer service and timely communication Deliver medications to hospital floors as needed to support patient care Identify and remove expired medications to ensure compliance and patient safety
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Indiana Pharmacy Technician license or eligibility to obtain licensure Minimum of 2 years current hospital pharmacy technician experience Familiarity with sterile compounding techniques and medication distribution systems Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a clinical team This role offers a chance to contribute critically to safe medication use in a healthcare setting and supports continuity of care through efficient pharmacy operations.
