Job Title:
Pharmacy TechnicianJob Description This Pharmacy Technician role supports a single-pharmacist retail pharmacy by assisting with daily operations, including prescription processing and customer service. The position offers 24 hours per week with a flexible schedule and provides an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals who are eager to learn, grow, and potentially advance into site-level responsibilities. Responsibilities + Support the pharmacist with daily pharmacy operations in a retail environment. + Assist with prescription processing, including data entry, under the supervision of the pharmacist. + Learn and apply pharmacy workflows, procedures, and best practices to ensure safe and accurate service. + Provide friendly, professional, and confident customer service to patients and healthcare partners. + Demonstrate reliability by consistently completing assigned tasks and following through on responsibilities. + Maintain accuracy and thoroughness in all work, including documentation and record keeping. + Collaborate with the on-site pharmacist and 1-2 other pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow. + Show initiative and independence in managing tasks while remaining open to guidance and feedback. + Develop skills and experience that may lead to taking on expanded responsibilities, including potential site-level duties. + Commit to a long-term role with the intention of converting to a permanent position. Essential Skills + Pharmacy background or education, such as PharmD studies or equivalent pharmacy-related training. + Active or in-progress Kansas (KS) pharmacy license, with clear progress toward certification. + Willingness to learn and perform pharmacy data entry with accuracy and attention to detail. + Previous retail experience of 6 months or more is a plus, particularly in a healthcare or pharmacy setting. + Strong reliability, independence, and self-motivation in completing daily tasks. + Friendly, personable, and confident communication style when interacting with patients and team members. + Enthusiastic attitude and demonstrated willingness to learn new skills and processes. + Thorough and detail-oriented approach to work, with the potential to handle expanded responsibilities. + Coachability and openness to feedback, especially for early-career candidates. + Clear intention and commitment to transition into a permanent role.
