Phlebotomist

We are looking to hire a part time phlebotomist 36 hours a week Monday-Friday. The Phlebotomist at Quint Family Care is responsible for collecting blood and other specimens from patients for laboratory analysis while ensuring patient comfort and maintaining strict adherence to safety and infection control procedures. This role supports the clinical team by facilitating accurate and timely diagnostic testing, contributing to high-quality patient care. Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures on patients of all ages in a safe, accurate, and professional manner. Properly label, store, and transport specimens according to clinic and laboratory protocols. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Prepare specimens for shipment to external laboratories, ensuring compliance with shipping regulations. Maintain inventory of phlebotomy supplies and restock as needed. Follow standard precautions and all OSHA, HIPAA, and clinic policies to ensure patient and staff safety.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program. Current certification (e.g., CPT from NHA or ASCP) required. Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience, preferably in a clinical or outpatient setting. CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire). Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
