PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT POSITION SUMMARY

The Physical Therapist Assistant implement components of patient care including restoring patient s function, alleviating pain, and preventing and treating disabilities, obtain data related to the treatment provided, collaborate with the physical therapist to modify care as necessary, and provides routine care for behaviorally impaired and emotionally disturbed patients under the direction of the nursing and medical staff.

PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Associate degree in physical therapy as evidence by college diploma from an accredited PTA program Current, unencumbered, and active license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Mississippi Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirements.

PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
