Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity dedicated to enhancing students' lives through physical therapy services in a supportive school environment. This position focuses on providing expert care and intervention for students, collaborating closely with educational teams to support each child's mobility, safety, and participation in school activities. The contract aligns with the upcoming academic year, offering consistent, meaningful work for the
NSY 26-27
term.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
Valid Physical Therapist licensure Previous experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy strongly preferred Ability to develop and adapt individualized treatment plans Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, administrators, and families Commitment to fostering an inclusive, encouraging learning environment Enduring enthusiasm for making a difference in students' daily lives
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments for students referred for physical therapy Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans and goals Integrate therapeutic strategies into students' daily routines and classroom activities Provide direct therapy interventions, track progress, and adjust plans as needed Participate in IEP meetings and share expertise with staff and families Document services, outcomes, and maintain compliance with district and state requirements Stay updated with best practices and continuing education relevant to school physical therapy
