Job Description

Action Physical Therapy is a therapist-owned outpatient physical therapy clinic in Huntingdon Valley, PA. We are a small, independently owned practice with a warm, supportive, team-oriented environment. Our clinic is known for providing high-quality, personalized patient care in a friendly and professional setting. We are looking for a Full-Time Physical Therapy Aide to join our team. This position is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping people, is dependable, organized, and interested in learning more about the field of physical therapy. This role is especially ideal for someone who is considering a future career as a Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant, athletic trainer, healthcare professional, or rehabilitation specialist . About the Position As a Physical Therapy Aide, you will work closely with our physical therapists and physical therapist assistants to support patient care and keep the clinic running smoothly. You will help patients with exercises and activities under the direction of the treating therapist, assist with equipment, maintain a clean and organized treatment area, and provide excellent customer service to our patients. We are willing to train the right person. Prior experience in a physical therapy clinic, healthcare setting, gym, fitness environment, or patient care role is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities include:
Assist physical therapists and physical therapist assistants with patient care Help patients with therapeutic exercises, stretching, and activities as directed by the therapist Provide patient care according to the instructions of the physical therapist Support patients during treatment while maintaining safety and proper supervision Assist patients with activities related to mobility, exercise, and functional movement Set up and clean up treatment areas before and after patient visits Keep the gym, equipment, and treatment areas clean, organized, and ready for use Assist with the use of therapeutic equipment and exercise equipment Provide attentive, friendly, and professional customer service to each patient Help maintain patient flow throughout the clinic Communicate with therapists and staff regarding patient needs Follow clinic policies, safety procedures, and infection-control standards Assist with laundry, supplies, and general clinic organization as needed The ideal candidate is: Interested in physical therapy, rehabilitation, exercise science, kinesiology, healthcare, sports medicine, or patient care Friendly, compassionate, and comfortable interacting with patients of all ages Reliable, punctual, and responsible Able to follow directions carefully Organized and able to multitask in a busy clinical environment Comfortable being on their feet and moving throughout the day Willing to clean, organize, and help wherever needed Professional in appearance, communication, and attitude A team player who takes pride in helping both patients and coworkers Looking for a meaningful healthcare position, not just "any job" Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required Interest in physical therapy, healthcare, exercise, fitness, or rehabilitation preferred Previous experience as a physical therapy aide, rehab aide, therapy tech, medical assistant, personal trainer, caregiver, or healthcare aide is helpful but not required Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to follow instructions from licensed physical therapists Ability to stand, walk, bend, assist patients, and help maintain a clean clinic environment Must be dependable and able to commit to a full-time schedule Why Join Action Physical Therapy?
