Physical Therapy Technician

Duties Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans by preparing treatment areas and equipment. Support patient intake processes by gathering medical histories and explaining procedures to ensure comfort and understanding. Help monitor patient progress during therapy sessions, recording observations accurately for review by the healthcare team. Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy spaces, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for use. Provide compassionate patient service by addressing questions, offering encouragement, and ensuring a positive experience throughout therapy sessions. Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and updating documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Support the safety of patients during therapy activities by observing proper techniques and alerting staff to any concerns or adverse reactions. Work Schedule Weekly schedule will vary, but candidate would need to be available during the follow timeframe: Monday 9-6 Tuesday 9-4 Wednesday 9-6 Thursday 9-6 Friday 9-3 Qualifications Previous hospital or clinical experience working with patients in acute care, inpatient, outpatient, or post-acute settings is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to effectively support therapy activities. Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, orthopedics, and individuals requiring sub-acute or hospital medicine care. Excellent patient service skills with a caring attitude and ability to communicate clearly with patients of all ages. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team in fast-paced environments such as hospitals or clinics. Ability to stand, walk, and assist patients for extended periods while maintaining attention to safety and detail.
