Job Description

Job Type Full-time Description We are seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Urology team. In this role, you will work closely with the Urologist and care team to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. You'll play a vital role in diagnosing, treating, and supporting patients with a variety of urologic conditions while contributing to a collaborative and supportive clinical environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories, physical exams, and diagnostic evaluations
  • Assist in diagnosing and treating urologic conditions such as kidney stones, urinary tract infections, incontinence, erectile dysfunction, and prostate disorders
  • Perform or assist with urologic procedures, including cystoscopies, catheter placements/replacements, bladder scans, and urodynamic studies
  • Provide preoperative and postoperative care, including patient education and follow-up
  • Document patient care through progress notes, orders, and prescriptions in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to coordinate care plans
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and ongoing care
  • Respond to patient inquiries and manage follow-up communications, including secure messaging platforms
  • Participate in departmental and hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and all applicable state, federal, and CMS regulations
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with privacy standards
  • Demonstrate commitment to the organization's mission, vision, and service excellence standards
  • Stay informed through meetings, communications, and policy updates
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures

  • Current State of Maine Physician Assistant license
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Active and valid DEA license
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Commitment to teamwork and delivering compassionate patient care
  • Willing to train strong candidates with a minimum of 3 years' practical experience Compensation
  • Base Salary $175,000 annually
  • Sign on Bonus eligible $25,000
