PURPOSE OF THE JOB A

pipe fitter will assist and be part of planning and coordinating with our on-site team as required to install turnkey mechanical piping systems on active construction sites and operating process facilities. Perform high quality project installations while maintaining strict safety standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Read and scale dimensions from blueprints to lay out overhead piping distribution in commercial facilities. This involves pulling dimensions off key building features (walls, columns, etc.…) and maintaining proper elevations to avoid conflicts with other building systems. Install/fabricate all hangers, wall supports, and floor supports as needed to adequately support all piping systems. Install a variety of piping system specifications, which may include but are not limited to: Sch 40/80 Carbon Steel Sch 10 Stainless Steel Sanitary Stainless Steel Copper Tubing Sch 40/80 PVC and CPVC Polypropylene Aluminum Utilize some of the following joining methods for the installation of various piping systems (specific on-site requirements will be project dependent): Pipe Threading Pipe Welding Orbital Welding Crimp/Press Fitting Procedures Solvent Glue Fusion Welding Push-Connect/Compression Fittings Cut, thread, and fit pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders and benders. It is expected that all fitters have detailed knowledge of standard industry practices to cut and measure all pieces for a given application. Layout, install, and assemble facility equipment per detailed drawings and specifications. Perform piping system validation using pressure testing techniques, including pneumatic and hydrostatic testing procedures as necessary. Work with jobsite foreman, other pipefitters & welders to accomplish daily tasks. Engages in problem solving with team members and other personnel on a construction site to ensure installation is coordinated and in line with customer quality expectations. JOB REQUIREMENTS

Mechanical Industrial Piping:

10 years Pipe Fitter NCCER certs. (Preferred) High school diploma, GED, trade school. Have a working knowledge of the materials and the installation of each found in the mechanical construction industry. Able to work Monday-Friday and maybe Saturday (10-hour days) as needed. Must be able to be flexible with work schedule. Possess a valid driver's license.

PREFERRED SKILLS SET & CERTIFICATIONS 10-12

years industrial piping experience, specifically working in paper mills, chemical plants etc. Pipe Fitter NCCER certs.
