OnsiteOVERVIEW
We are seeking a seasoned Plant Manager to step into a critical leadership role due to an upcoming retirement. This individual will partner closely with the current Plant Manager during a transition period, gaining hands-on exposure to operations while beginning to implement process improvements and operational efficiencies. This role has recently expanded in scope, absorbing additional responsibilities aligned with broader operational leadership, making it a high-impact position within the organization.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead day-to-day plant operations across welding, fabrication, and assembly functions Drive labor cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and throughput Improve production scheduling, workflow, and overall plant efficiency Evaluate and optimize plant layout for better material flow and productivity Implement process improvements and operational best practices (continuous improvement mindset) Utilize MRP/ERP systems to support planning, inventory, and production management Partner with leadership to align plant performance with business objectives Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to production teamsIDEAL BACKGROUND
10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, ideally in a plant or operations leadership role Strong background in welding, fabrication, and assembly environments Experience with MRP/ERP systems in a manufacturing setting Proven track record of improving processes, reducing costs, and optimizing operations Exposure to Lean/Kaizen concepts preferred, but not required (must understand best practices) Ability to step into an established operation and elevate it furtherEOE STATEMENT
