Plant Manager

Plant Manager | Wallowa, OR — Heartwood Do you want to be part of the solution for healthy forests and thriving rural communities? Heartwood is hiring a Plant Manager to lead operations at our Wallowa, Oregon wood products manufacturing facility. This is a newly created position reporting directly to the CEO. You'll oversee all aspects of facility operations — production, maintenance, safety, team development, and P&L accountability while working closely with our leadership team, including sales, and collaborating with our Tuolumne County, California facility. What we're looking for: Proven experience in industrial manufacturing management, preferably forest products Strong P&L management and understanding of the operational levers that drive profitability Experience with capital improvement projects and preventative maintenance programs Ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders A leader who builds cohesive, accountable teams grounded in safety, quality, and continuous improvement Desired qualifications: Experience in log procurement or timber supply chains Formal training in

Lean, TPS, Deming/TQM, or Six Sigma Education and Experience:

BS in Business Management, Forestry, or Engineering preferred; significant plant operations experience may substitute Minimum 3-5 years of manufacturing facility management required
